Ingredients:

  • 5 medium tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1-2 serrano peppers (adjust to spice preference), stems removed
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, packed
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • Water (optional, for adjusting thickness)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the ingredients:

    • Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse them well to remove the sticky residue.
    • Chop the onion into large chunks.
    • Remove the stems from the serrano peppers. Deseed them if you prefer a milder salsa.
  2. Blend:

    • In a blender or food processor, combine the tomatillos, onion, garlic, serrano peppers, and cilantro.
